Discover how we make renting equipment as easy, carefree and clear for you as possible.
Bring proof of identity with you
In all Boels branches, we ask private customers who rent from us to identify who they are by providing a valid ID card with a passport photo. You are only allowed to hire equipment upon presentation of a valid passport, driving licence or identity card.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Our machines and tools are worth a considerable amount of money. That's why we require a security deposit from private customers and companies that don't have a Boels account. The deposit amount varies depending on the item. Have you returned the item to us in good condition after the rental period? Then we'll give you the full deposit amount back. Any security deposit paid by debit card will usually be on your bank account in two working days.
Are there costs for cleaning, repair and wear and tear?
All machines and tools you hire from us are clean and in good working order when you collect them. We also expect you to return them clean and in good condition. If this isn't the case, we may have to charge you for cleaning and/or repair costs afterwards.
Wear-and-tear accessories you hire with equipment, such as diamond blades and diamond drills, are charged based on a cost table. For sharpening hired items such as chain saw chains, chisels, drills and planers, we charge a one-off fixed rate.
How do we calculate the costs for consumables?
The costs for fuels such as petrol, kerosene, gas and diesel are calculated on the basis of actual consumption. We make sure you have plenty of fuel at the start of the rental. Naturally, you won't be charged for any Aspen bottles that you return unopened.
Materials such as sandpaper, grinding wheels, etc. can be purchased with the hired machine or tools.
Unused materials/sealed containers can be returned. You will then be refunded the rental or purchase price.
Can I also have machines or tools delivered and collected?
Delivering equipment to your site and collecting it again is never a problem at Boels Rental. Please remember that you pay a fee for the transport costs.
How are the prices calculated?
The prices stated on the website do not include costs for maintenance, fuel, oil, sharpening, wear, transport, cleaning and accessories. We also don't include any environmental levies or surcharges for the Damage Waiver & Fire/Theft Scheme.
What's the difference between daily, weekly, weekend and long-weekend rates?
You decide how long you want to hire equipment from Boels for. One day, a weekend, a week or longer? The longer you hire our equipment, the cheaper the rate. The total amount you pay is based on a maximum number of hire or operational hours. The rate you pay at weekends is even better than the rate you pay during the week.
Rate | Maximum rental period |
---|---|
Daily rate | 24 hours or 1 calendar day* |
Weekly rate | 168 hours or 7 calendar days* |
Weekend rate (Saturday - Monday) - 1x the daily rate | 48 hours |
Long-weekend rate (Friday - Monday) - 2x the daily rate | 72 hours |

Hiring equipment with an hour meter? The daily rate will be based on 8 operating hours and the weekly rate on 40 operating hours.
